The SAT test will be held on 11-4-2017 and 05-5-2018 in the THS Cafeteria. Regular registration is due by 10-5-2017 and 4-6-1018 Eastern Standard Time. To register, visit www.sat.collegeboard.org.
All college bound Seniors should update their work/volunteer history in CIS and create an Activities Chart and/or Resume to begin collecting letters of recommendation. Many scholarships require at least one letter of recommendation. We recommend collecting a minimum of three letters of recommendation from sources such as teachers, coaches, employers, family friends, mentors etc. There are Letter of Recommendation Request Forms available in the Resource Center, please attach this form to your Activities Chart or Resume and give it to the person you are asking to write your letter.
THE OREGON PROMISE
Senate Bill 81 was passed by the Oregon legislature and signed by Governor Kate Brown in July of 2015. This bill, now known as "The Oregon Promise," will provide tuition assistance grants to thousands of students from the class of 2017. If you are an Oregon resident, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better and would like to attend an Oregon community college, you could qualify for The Oregon Promise. In order to receive the award, you must apply online with the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC). Tillamook High School will have an information session and offer application assistance to students and parents on Monday, October 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 in the Computer Lab. All eligible Seniors are encouraged to apply as soon as possible!

All students will plan on attending college in Oregon need to complete this application which has links to over 200 scholarships. The application opens on October 1, 2017. Visit their website at OregonStudentAid.gov to apply.
